Comments:
Linlithgow's serene progress through the League Cup group juddered to a halt at midge-tastic Beechwood Park.

Stoneyburn looked more likely in a goalless first half but had to wait until the 46th minute for the lead they merited.

They extended their advantage soon after with a wonderful strike from the impressive Marshall.

Rose rallied and it was no surprise when Coyne headed in Hagan's cross.

Stoneyburn were rocking now and Rose were back on level terms when Benton's header struck the upright and then a defender before rolling into the net.

Linlithgow poured forward and seemed set to go on and grab a winner but were stunned when Tague scored a great solo goal.

Stoneyburn wrapped up the points when Easton converted a rebound in injury time.

Superb result and well merited as per Rose pages. :-)

Coming from Pumpherston my mum would not have been overly happy with this result, but she lived in Stoneyburn longer than Pumpherston, so she won't mind too much. Keep up the GREAT WORK lads. HOOK INTO INFINITY or P90X and get fighting fit for next season. Promotion is just a step away if you follow the workload and power on through the teams put in front of you.

Come on the Fulshie.

My goodness you guys are doing so well. I have watched the results and saw you climb that table and it fills my we heart with joy to see how you have progressed. I found a fantastic work out for the whole team but you=ll need to wait to the end of the season to start it, or you'll be puggled for next week. BUT, the end result will be a Stanyburn team that looks like a Staneyburn team. Well done lads. If I ever make millions' I would sponsor you. Honestly, so start buying my sketches.

My father Patrick McGeachy played for Stonyburn. I believe it was around 1937. I have his East of Scotland runners up medal.
